It might seem a bit early to start celebrating Valentine’s Day but all the candy and cards are lined up on store shelves anticipating the upcoming day celebrating love. It seems that Netflix will be offering the third installment from the “To All the Boys” romantic trilogy with “To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean” just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The romance series may have started in high school following the main character Lara Jean (played by Lana Condor) but the new movie will focus on Jean’s life after high school and navigating love in the real world. The new movie follows Jean’s love journey choosing between going to Stanford with her highschool sweetheart Peter Kavinsky (played by Noah Centineo) or exploring other opportunities as she prepares to enter the real world.

The new movie starts with Jean traveling with her sisters for a spring break trip to Seoul, South Korea with new exciting adventures while maintaining a long-distance relationship with Peter. After arriving home from her spring break trip, Jean is excited for prom but nervous about the future of her relationship.

Jean’s plan was to stay with Peter during college with the hopes of attending Stanford together but she’s nervous waiting for her acceptance letter after Peter announces his acceptance first. This leads Jean to contemplate plans outside of pursuing her relationship with Peter if she isn’t accepted and has to commit to a long-distance relationship.

Jean’s decision takes a turning point after a school trip to New York City and she falls in love with the city thinking she would love to live there. This creates a rift in her relationship with Peter as they both have doubts about making a long-distance relationship work, especially after Jean received some shocking news.

Condor explains that this role relates to her personal life because she is going through a transition of finding herself much like her character Lara Jean. Condor is known for her acting but was recently named Neutrogena’s first global ambassador and she is exploring more roles outside of acting.

“To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean” will be available on Netflix on February 12 so fans can watch it to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the most popular romance series on Netflix.
