Oh No, More Dating Terms

Bella Breakdown

Just in case you didn’t hate dating in 2018 enough, I have a couple of new dating terms for you. I know, I know, you probably can’t handle anymore. But these ones might be good to know, especially because they could very well be happening to you. And honestly, you might want to immediately ditch whoever you’re dating once you find out what these new terms mean.

1. Orbiting

This is the person who you might have had a couple of dates with, however they aren’t actually contacting you to hang out again. Instead, they’re watching your Snap or Instagram stories. They might be liking your posts, or commenting vague, yet cutesy emojis on all of your pictures.

They’re not actually actively trying to date you instead, they’re just orbiting around you. This is just so they can attempt to feign interest in case they ever want to com back into the scene.

2. Benching

Getting benched. It’s as bad as it sounds. First of all, if you are getting benched that means you are a part of a line-up. So, whoever you’re dating has a few other people they are dating as well. You have also fallen out of favor.

That means, they aren’t showing as much interest in you, but just enough to pull you back in if they want. Do yourself a favor, if you find you’re getting benched, at take yourself off of the team!
