The Disney streaming platform, Disney+, confirmed the sequel for “Hocus Pocus” earlier this year with director Adam Shankman with hopes of reuniting the original leading cast. One of the leading ladies, Bette Midler, confirms that the three original Sanderson sisters will be returning for the sequel.
In a recent interview for “Good Day New York,” Midler announced that Disney reached out to all the original Sanderson sisters including Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy to confirm the original leading cast for the sequel. Though it will be a while until the sequel releases but the Sanderson sisters will be returning for a live, one-night-only virtual event on Halloween.
The special “In Search Of The Sanderson Sister” will reunite the coven of witches along with other spooky special guests including the host better known as the Mistress of the Dark, Elvira. The Halloween special will also include other celebrity guests including Jamie Lee Curtis, Glenn Close, Sophie von Haselberg, Bill Crystal, Kenan Thompson, Meryl Streep, John Stamos, Sarah Silverman, Todrick Hall, Michael Kors, Adam Lambert, and more.
The event will be hosted by the New York Restoration Project that was founded for Bette Midler. You can find $10 tickets for this special event on Eventive that will be on October 30 from 8-9:05 p.m. EDT.
