Let’s just start by saying Peter Weber made this season of “The Bachelor” interesting and on the edge of our seats until the end. With that being said, this is an official spoiler warning so brace yourself if you haven’t finished watching the season.

Peter’s journey of love started on the last season of “The Bachelorette” when Peter worked his way to the final three, ending his relationship with Hannah Brown. This wasn’t the last time Peter saw Brown when she appeared at the beginning of this season and the couple revisited the option of persuing each other only to realize they shouldn’t explore it further.

Though Brown didn’t pursue Peter he would soon get close to another girl by the same name, Hannah Ann Sluss. Peter’s relationship with Hannah Ann grew stronger but another girl that also captured Peter’s heart was Madison Prewett.

Fast forward to the 9th episode of the season when Madison presents Peter with what some would refer to as an ultimatum that she wouldn’t be able to move forward in their relationship if he was intimate with the remaining bachelorettes as she believes on saving herself for marriage because of her religious beliefs. Madison brought this to Peter’s attention before fantasy suite week with the other bachelorettes, leaving everyone guessing what would happen next.

During fantasy suite week, Madison confronted Peter about being intimate with the other bachelorettes and Peter admitted that he was intimate with the other bachelorettes. Let’s just say Madison didn’t take it too well, abruptly ending the night by leaving Peter and Bach Nation guessing whether she would make it to the rose ceremony the following day.

The rose ceremony started with Victoria F. and Hannah Ann waiting, Peter walks up to realize Madison isn’t with the other bachelorettes and turned back to talk to the show host, Chris Harrison, and production. Shortly after the walk-off, Madison shows up late and joins the other bachelorettes for the rose ceremony.

Peter decided to send Victoria F. home with Hannah Ann and Madison Madison being the final two bachelorettes. If there wasn’t enough pressure on Peter after Madison’s ultimatum, his family got involved and his mother completely changed the narrative.

When Peter’s family got to spend some time with the remaining bachelorettes his mother, Barbara, had no trouble in speaking her mind on which woman Peter should choose. Earlier in the season, Peter took Madison on their first one-on-one date in which they attended a vow renewal ceremony for Peter’s parents where Madison and Barbara hit it off.

Though they previously met, Barbara wasn’t the biggest fan of Madison the second time around because she felt Madison wasn’t committed to Peter compared to Hannah Ann. When it came down to the final two Barbara favored Hannah Ann over Madison.

Ultimately Madison decided to leave two days before the final rose ceremony and in the end, Peter decided to propose to Hannah Ann without letting her know that Madison left. This left many to speculate that Peter proposed to Madison as a result of being the last bachelorette.

The happy engagement was short-lived as more aspects of Peter’s previous relationships got in the way of the couple moving forward and it ended with Hannah Ann giving back her engagement ring to Peter. Shortly after their official breakup, Chris Harrison decided to interview and bring Madison back into the equation.

Harrison took a trip to Alabama to visit Madison and see if she would like to visit Peter and possibly explore having a relationship with Peter. Madison confided that she would have done things differently on the show if she had a chance and Harrison gave her the opportunity to visit Peter in Los Angeles.

Expecting Harrison, Peter was surprised when Madison showed up instead and they rekindled their relationship. During the finale episode, the couple confirmed that they are working on exploring the possibility of carrying on their relationship, leaving Peter’s mom displeased.

During the finale, Barbara expressed her dismay at Peter leaving Hannah Ann and rekindling his relationship with Madison. Barbara revealed that she doesn’t think their relationship is going to last saying, “you have to fail to succeed.” Peter and Madison expressed that they’re willing to work through their problems to give their relationship a chance, though this chance was much like his engagement to Hannah Ann, short-lived.

So incredibly thankful for this amazing journey I’ve had the honor of being a part of. I have grown so much and am stronger than I was going in. I have learned the importance of acceptance, forgiveness, and grace. As Peter and I have decided to go our separate ways, I am confident that we will both move in the direction of our purpose and never forget that God has a plan in all things. I will always love and respect him. I am convinced our paths were meant to cross and we are both better because they did. @pilot_pete you are an amazing guy and I’m thankful for you. I will always be your biggest fan. And to the amazing women I met this season, I will love you for life. Thank you @abcnetwork for allowing me to embark on this journey. ❤️

Only two days after reuniting on “The Bachelor” live finale, the couple announced that they’ve officially split up. On Thursday, the couple officially announced their breakup on Instagram.

One thing is for sure this is one of the most dramatic ending for any season of “The Bachelor” and the next contestant, Clare Crawley, has some big drama-fueled shoes to fill.
