Selena Gomez teams up with Sephora and released her makeup line called Rare Beauty. Her new makeup collection pays tribute to her most recent album ‘Rare’ and will exclusively be available at Sephora starting this Summer.

Gomez posted a teaser video on Instagram working with her team on products to be featured in the collection. In the video, Gomez says, “Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself. I’ve stopped trying to be perfect, I just want to be me.”

The main focus for this new beauty brand is focused on being happy with the way you see yourself, instead of focusing more on what other people think about the way they see you. Gomez goes on to say, “I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each other and to start embracing our own uniqueness.”

Gomez also focuses on how social media can impact someone’s self-confidence saying, “You’re not defined by a photo, a like, or a comment.” Rare Beauty’s mission is to teach everyone that you shouldn’t let people define you through a social media post and that we should be focusing on how we feel about ourselves.

The cryptic collection features some products including lip gloss, liquid lipstick, foundation, and concealer.
