Spice Girls Kick Off Reunion Tour In The UK

The Spice Girls kicked off the European leg of their reunion tour over the weekend and was met with horrible reviews. Though one of the biggest girl groups in the world fans were left disappointed by the singers who reportedly had “awful” sound problems.

The first Spice Girls performance in seven years was so bad that some fans ended up leaving the concert early. “There’s something wrong when the crowd at @spicegirls concert are still sitting down because no one has a clue what song is on because the sound really is THAT bad,” one Twitter user wrote.

The reason behind the audio issues wasn’t explained, seeing as how fans heard opening performer Jess Glynne just fine, but Melanie Brown—also known as Scary Spice—did promise that things would be better for the next show.

“Thank you for attending our show tonight in Dublin,” Brown said in an Instagram video. “We will see you in Cardiff and hopefully the vocals and sound will be much, much better… Pfft.” The original five-some walked onto the stage as a foursome since Victoria Beckham chose not to reunite with the group.

Hopefully, the group gets everything figured out for the rest of the 13-date tour that the group claims to be an all-inclusive experience. “We welcome all ages, all races, all gender identities, all countries of origin, all sexual orientations, all religions and beliefs, all abilities,” said Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm.
