The heart is the most important organ of our body and the most neglected part of all of us. Most of us do physical workout to lose body fat, make abs and much more but we hardly workout for keeping the heart-healthy. According to a survey, Cardiovascular diseases are the number one cause of deaths globally. And, this number is alarming enough for all of us to pay attention to keep our heart healthy.

According to Ayurveda, our body is what we eat! Following the same, this article will discuss the foods that are easily available and will help in keeping your heart healthy.

Yogurt
Yogurt is a food item that is already a part of many of our’ routine food but most of us are not aware of its benefits. Yogurt contains a high quantity of probiotics and live bacteria that keep good gut health.

Yogurt is also helpful in keeping cholesterol and blood pressure in control which in turn keeps the heart-healthy. According to a survey done in 2018, the researchers found that the people who ate more than two servings of yogurt in a week had 20% lower chances of heart attack and stroke as compared to people who ate less. So, for good heart health, include yogurt in your daily diet.

Nuts
We all know nuts are a rich source of all the essential nutrients and vitamins but still, we all don’t eat them regularly. To a surprise, nuts contain polyunsaturated fats and magnesium which are very important nutrients for maintaining good heart health.

These nutrients also fight inflammation which leads to diabetes. The benefits of consuming nuts do not end here; these are just too good for overall health and even reduce the chances of cancer. So, just keep some nuts handy and grab them whenever you feel hungry and keep your heart happy.

Apples
Doesn’t it sound a bit strange? At first, it definitely does but it is true. Apple is full of antioxidants and flavonoids being one among them are the antioxidants that make apple good for the heart. Flavonoid plays an important role in preventing inflammation and buildup of plaque in arteries.

Even the Finnish scientists did research and analyzed the data collected for over 30 years and found that apple eaters had lower chances of strokes as compared to non-apple eaters. Hence, we must abide by the famous saying “An Apple a Day, Keeps the Doctor Away”.

These are the three food products which already are a part of almost all of our lives and all we need to do now is to be a frequent and regular consumption of these products. If our heart can remain healthier by just eating the right food, then there is nothing that should stop us. Cheers to a healthy heart and a healthy life!
