The New Way to Tie a Neck Scarf
Bella Breakdown
As we’re sure you fashion forward Bellas have already noticed neck scarves are a HUGE trend on the runway right now. But before you go knotting that cute square of floral print around your neck, make sure you’re doing it the right way. There’s a new way to tie your neck scarf, and we love it.
The new way looks more like a turtleneck and less like that 1950’s air stewardess way of the past. Here’s how to keep it modern, start with a bandana, vintage scarf, new scarf, whatever you’ve got as long as it’s at least double the length of your neck.
Fold your scarf into a triangle then start folding all the way down until you have just a little bit of the triangle left at the end.
Place the center of your bandana at the front on your neck, take the two ides around the back and then tie in front.
If you’ve got a stiff fabric, you can get away with tying it once, but if you’ve got more slippery fabric or a larger scarf, you can double knot it making sure to start left over right and finish right over left for an even square knot that lies flat against the neck.
