We have been waiting for Winter to come for a long time now, and it’s finally set the date. ‘Game of Thrones’ is coming back for the series finale. SPOILER ALERT TO COME! Please heed my warning, there will be a major spoiler alert so stop reading if you want to remain surprised and not yet grossed out. We left off on a major cliffhanger, with Danerys and John Snow finally hooking up…even though they did so while Bran narrated how they’re totes related. What is George R.R. Martin’s fascination with incest anyway?

Either way, it’s been officially announced that ‘Game of Thrones’ will be premiering on HBO in April of 2019. The eight season is only going to have six episodes, and we’re super bummed about it. However, rather than the usual 42 minutes, the episodes will be feature length, meaning they will likely be over an hour, so even though there won’t be as many episodes as you average season, you will have a lot more show in an episode. At this point, we’ll take what we can get.

There are going to be new characters. We will see our favorite characters who haven’t quite interacted, interact with one another. And surely there will be many more deaths, because hello it’s ‘Game of Thrones’.
