Chip and Joana have done it again. The Fixer Upper couple has dominated the home space for years, and remained a constant all-pleasing television choice and has inspired a whole host of other reality home-based TV programs. As HGTV became a culture within itself, the Gaines recognized their ability to monopolize off their household name and signature Waco, Texas-style.

Starting with the Hearth and Home signature home collection at Target, the Magnolia Journal magazine, and expanding into the restaurant and retail space within Waco, the southern charm family will now have their very own TV network to host a slew of programs. The network, fittingly named Magnolia Network, is set to premiere in October 2020.

Not much has been revealed in regard to the content plans until this past week when one of their series was announced. Home on the Road will be a six-episode program about creating home habits while traveling. In its pilot season, the show will feature the husband and wife musical duo Abner and Amanda Ramirez, members of the band Johnnyswim, as they tour across North America with their four-year-old son and one-year-old daughter.

The Ramirezs and Gaineses have been friends for a few years now and their bond is deep. With this in mind, it’s expected that the “creating home on the road” goal of the series will be bittersweet.
