THIS is How You Freaking Remove Gel Nail Polish!

Bella Breakdown

There’s nothing we love more than getting a gel manicure, they last way longer than normal mani’s, they are super durable and extra cute… but removing them is a serious pain in the @ss! You can either try to do it at home and risk seriously damaging your nails or spend a pretty penny to get them taken off back at the salon.

Instead we’ve got the RIGHT way to take off your pretty gel manicure at home when it’s been on there a bit too long.

All you’ll need to do it yourself is:

•nail file
•aluminum foil
•acetone
•cotton pad

First, you want to break the seal of your manicure by buffing down the top surface with a nail file until you’ve gotten rid of most of the shine.

Next take a large piece of aluminum foil and cut it into medium sized squares, you’ll need one for each finger.

Soak a cotton ball pad in the acetone and place on each finger, then wrap the cotton in the foil. Repeat with each nail and allow the acetone to penetrate the gel polish for about 10 minutes.

After that you’ll see the polish literally peels away!
