Millennials and Travel Go Hand-In-Hand

Bella Breakdown

The Millennial generation definitely has the travel bug and it just will not quit! Therefore, they seem to be quitting their jobs instead. Now, I’m not sure if traveling is for the sake of looking a certain way on social media, or if we as a generation refuse to be stuck the confines of a 9 to 5, but either way we tend to opt for equal parts work and life.

Millennials are ditching the idea that we have to work until we die. Sure, we know we need to work, but in the meantime we’d like to live until we die as well. A lot of Millennials are leaving six-figure jobs for a more flexible schedule so they can go out and do the things they want to do. We are very much the generation of “side-hustles” that allow us to create our own schedules. Other generations may call us lazy, or non-committal. I just think we’re crafty and committed to enjoying life.

Millennials work hard to take advantage of the digital age. We enjoy taking our work on the go. A lot of corporate businesses roll their eyes when we ask if work can be done remotely. We roll our eyes at the fact that we’re accessible by text, phone, email, video chat, instant message, and our bosses can’t even let us work on some spreadsheets from the comfort of a beach!
