The cast of “Parks and Recreation” is reuniting and bringing fans back to Pawnee five years after the series finale for a benefit special to aid coronavirus (COVID-19) relief.

The 30-minute special will feature original cast members including Amy Poehler (Leslie Knope), Adam Scott (Ben Wyatt), Rashida Jones (Ann Perkins), Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson), Aziz Ansari (Tom Haverford), Aubrey Plaza (April Ludgate), Chirs Pratt (Andy Dwyer), Rob Lowe (Chris Traeger), Jim O’Heir (Jerry Gergich), and Retta (Donna Meagle).

The special is described to be a catch-up episode and how the characters are living through social distancing. You already know Ron Swanson is up to some woodworking while Chris is non-stop working out.

The 30-minute special will be raising money for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response fund that will help enable food banks to have the resources needed to serve vulnerable members of the community. Fans are encouraged to donate like Leslie Knope and do-gooders everywhere.

The cast is so excited to reunite for such a worthy cause all cast members agreed within 45 minutes after getting the proposal e-mail. “A Parks and Recreation Special” will air on NBC on Thursday, April 30 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
