The Original Cast Reunites To Celebrate ‘Legally Blonde 3’

Reese Witherspoon reunites the original “Legally Blonde” cast online to celebrate the announcement of the confirmed production for “Legally Blonde 3.” The new installment of the “Legally Blonde” franchise will be in theaters by May 20, 2022.

The original cast reunited online nearly 20 years after the 2001 premiere of “Legally Blonde” for the Hello Sunshine YouTube channel that helped benefit World Central Kitchen. The cast even practiced the iconic Elle Wood “bend and snap” during the reunion and all shared their excitement for the return of the blonde that stole America’s heart.

Reese Witherspoon will be reprising her role as Elle Woods while producing the movie under her media company, Hello Sunshine, with returning producer Marc Platt. “Legally Blonde 3” will also host hit comedy writers Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor.

Goor is known for being a comedy writer on the hit shows ‘Parks and Rec’ and ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ so he’s sure to bring the comedy working alongside Mindy Kaling for the script. Though the final cast list has yet to be confirmed, the former cast members seem excited to have the chance to return for “Legally Blonde 3.”
