Celebrities Contributing To Battling Coronavirus Pandemic

Everyone is being affected by the coronavirus worldwide and celebrities are taking action to help battle the coronavirus pandemic. Though this is a tough time worldwide, celebrities are stepping forward to contribute a helping hand during this international crisis.

Actress and philanthropist, Angelina Jolie, donated $1 million to the No Kid Hungry organization that works to end child hunger in the U.S. which is becoming a bigger issue. No Kid Hungry already has provided $2 million in funding to feed children through 78 organizations in 30 states. Another actress, Kristen Bell, donated $150,007.96 to No Hungry Children and the number might seem odd but Bell says her children contributed to the donation with money from their own piggy bank.

Singer and songwriter, Justin Timberlake, is giving back to his local community of Memphis, Tennessee making a donation to the Mid-South Food Bank. The famous couple of actors, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, donated $1 million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. Makeup brand owner and reality TV star, Kylie Jenner, donated $1 million to buy face masks for healthcare workers.

Singer and songwriter, Justin Bieber, contributed to the effort donating to the Bejing Chunmiao Children Aid Foundation to help the children of China through this difficult time. Musician and owner of the Haus Labs beauty brand, Lady Gaga, committed to donating 20% of the week’s profits to be donated to food banks in New York and Los Angeles.

Director of the award-winning film “Parasite,” Bong Joon-Ho, teamed up with one of the members of the popular K-Pop group BTS, Suga, to donate $164,000 towards relief efforts in their home country of South Korea.
