Donut Fries Debut At Dunkin’

I know I can’t survive mornings without my iced coffee, but apparently that wasn’t enough for Dunkin’ Donuts. Now, they’re adding “donut fries” to their menu, meaning my wallet is about to suffer even more each morning. As part of a new “snack menu” that is rolling out next Monday, just in time for July, these deep fried donut strips are melt-in-your mouth goodness. While they started out in a few locations months ago, now every morning person will be in line to get them as the fries roll out nationwide.
Other sweet treats on Dunkin’s platter include munchkin dippers and waffle battered chicken tenders, which all sound like a delectably Dunkin’ morning to me. While they might not be the healthiest snack, they’re part of Dunkin’s way of reinventing themselves as a more universal supplier of breakfast themes food. Some of these efforts include trying to drop the “Donuts” from their name, limiting their donut selection, and creating more “ready to drink” options that can be purchased at local convenience stores.
Whatever direction Dunkin’ Donuts is driving in, I know I’ll still be in the drive-thru lane, and I’ll be one of the first to try out these new donut fries.
