Pairing Fast Food Combos With Wine

Bella Breakdown

If I could dream up the perfect meal, it would probably be heaps of something from Taco Bell and a bottle of Rose. For some reason though, that is not a meal that you should be proud of, and I’m not totally sure why. I think it sounds amazing. It turns out I’m not the only one who feels like fast food and wine would make a fantastic combination. Business Insider and a few professional sommeliers put together a list of the best fast food and wine pairings. Here are the top 5:

5. In-n-Out Double Double Animal Style with a Gamay
The heavy red grape content in a gamay and the red meat of a double-double are likely to pair perfectly with one another.

4. Wendy’s Bacon Cheeseburger and California Cabernet Sauvignon
The earthy dark fruits of a Cab Sav are perfect for the red meat and bacon of this Wendy’s burger.

3. McDonald’s Apple Pie and Chenin Blanc
The light fruity taste of a chenin blanc will pair perfectly with this crispy, sweet dessert.

2. McDonald’s Big Mac and Pinot Noir
The lighter fruit notes of a pinot noir compliment the rich, heartiness of this popular burger.

1. McDonald’s Fries with Brut Champagne
The acidity and carbonation within the champagne cut through the salty, greasy quality of the friends, making them the perfect pair to celebrate a night out with.
