How to Cook Crisp Smoky Bacon

There is nothing, and we mean nothing, that we love more than crisp smoky bacon. No one likes a splattered stovetop and a pan full of curled up, unevenly cooked slices. Instead, try this mess-free way of preparing your bacon for evenly cooked, crispy pieces of heaven.

Start by placing a wire rack on a rimmed baking sheet, and do yourself a favor, put a sheet of parchment paper underneath the rack for easy cleanup.

All you need to do is place your bacon on the wire rack, making sure everything is evenly spaced. Be sure not to overlap the pieces so they cook nice and even. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Another reason we love this method for cooking bacon is if you’re entertaining folks for brunch and need to do a lot at once you can put one pan in the top third of your oven and another on the bottom.

Pop in your preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes until the bacon is nicely browned and super crisp. But the ‘bake’ back in bacon and evenly cooked bacon every time!
