Classic Sweet Tea
Sweet tea is synonymous with Southern culture. When we order tea at a restaurant, we assume that the waiter will bring an ice cold glass of sweet tea that perfectly complements our meal.
We serve tea at every Southern gathering.
To make this, bring 4 cups of water to a boil and add it to 12 tea bags.
Additionally, add 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda, then cover and allow it to steep for seven minutes.
Meanwhile, combine 1 cup of water and 2 cups of sugar in a pot and boil for one minute.
After removing the tea bags, add in the simple syrup and 4 cups of ice cubes.
No Sunday supper is complete without a picture of sweet tea on the table.
