The skin generally needs to be hydrated as this helps to keep the skin glowing and of course healthy. However, over washing the face as some repercussion and also side effect.

The fact that a lot of people don’t know that they are over washing their face is quite alarming hence they also don’t know how endangering it is. Like the popular saying; too much of everything is bad so also does it apply to over washing your face.

It is often advised to wash your face at least once in a day and it should be in the evening as it would help remove a dirt that has built up on your skin during the day as we are more exposed to dirt during the day. If you want to know if you are over-washing your face then this is for you.

One way to find out if you are over washing your face is if your skin as a tight or dry feeling. This is the commonest way to know that you are over-washing your face.

Another way to know if you are over-washing your face is when you have reddish and dry patches. Skin experts have researched and have found out that it really isn’t about how frequently we wash our face with water rather it is about the kind and type of cleanser we use on our face.

Therefore, over-washing is as a result of using a cleaner that is too harsh for your face. The best thing to do according to skin experts is to look for a cleanser that will exfoliate to help keep pores gunk-free, but at is also gentle enough that it won’t strip skin of its natural moisture.

If you still feel that your face is over-washed then it is advisable to stay clear off cleaners and any other thing you use on your face at least for some days. Basically, just know what works for your face and do not over work your face with chemicals.
