The Disney+ streaming app is bringing another exclusive series to its platform celebrating Black culture through the ages with the help of Beyoncé. Disney+ announced the highly anticipated project roughly a month ago and the trailer has dropped for Beyoncé’s latest visual album entitled “Black Is King.”

“Black Is King” will feature music and much more featuring Beyoncé herself in a feature film composing of music videos from “The Gift” that Beyoncé executive produced for the 2019 live-action remake of “The Lion King.” Beyoncé will be drawing inspiration from her own experience as a woman of color and an established artist.

The visual imagery from the trailer is like Cirque du Soliel, leaving audiences to wonder where to look in such a dynamic visual experience. “Black Is King” will be featured only on the Disney Plus streaming platform to have more anonymity from its partner streaming platform, Hulu.

“Black Is King” will focus on the pride and honor in celebrating Black culture with portrayals of gender equality and celebrating strong women through history. One thing is for sure, the Bey-hive is buzzing for the new visual album that is set to debut July 31.
