British Vegan Brand THIS Is Booming In Business With Meat Shortage

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is creating food shortages worldwide including a meat shortage, but one vegan meat company is experiencing a boom in business. British vegan meat brand THIS is experiencing a surge in sales in response to the meat shortage due to COVID-19, doubling their supermarket sales and revenue from February to March.

THIS is seeing a surge in business and is using the opportunity to give back to those in need, donating more than a ton of THIS Isn’t Chicken to organizations including Made In Hackney and City Harvest. Made In Hackney that is an organization providing free community cooking classes but is now focusing on delivering free meals to those in need. City Harvest London utilizes surplus food to redistribute to the most vulnerable in need including the elderly.

Since June 2019, THIS has sold over 3 million portions of its vegan meat with a compounded rate of 35 percent per month since its launch. THIS vegan meat brand is one of the fastest-growing food businesses in the UK and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
