How to Make Strawberry Margarita Jell-O Shots

Who doesn’t love a Jell-O shot!? Just because you enjoy your booze in a delicious semi-solid jewel toned state doesn’t mean you have to join a fraternity and play beer pong. May we present, the Strawberry Margarita Jell-O Shot to top all Jell-O shots!
Here’s What You Need For These Boozy Little Delights:
- 2 c. hot water
- 1 packet strawberry or lime Jello
- 1 c. tequila
- 1/2 c. cointreau
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 2 packs strawberries
- Margarita salt
- lime zest
- juice from 1 lime
- slices of lime
Start by whisking your packet of jello into 2 cups of hot water until the mixture is completely dissolved.
Next add in your booze of choice and water. Set aside and clean out the hulls from your strawberries, use a melon scoop to create a large cavity on the inside of the berries, that’s where your jello shot is going to go. Slice off the tip on the bottom so it can sit on a flat surface without making it deep enough to cut into the cavity you created.
Fill the strawberries with your jello mixture and refrigerate until set, at least 3 hours. Once firm, dip the rim of your strawberries in lime juice then roll in a mixture of Margarita salt and lime juice.
Finish with a wedge of lime on top and you’ve just won first place for the night!
