All you’ll need for this gorgeous stuffing is:

  • Unsalted Butter
  • Sourdough Bread
  • Olive Oil
  • Roasted Chestnuts
  • Kosher Salt
  • Freshly Ground Pepper
  • Sweet Italian Sausage
  • Onions
  • Celery
  • Chiles de Arbol
  • Pink Lady Apple
  • Garlic
  • Fresh Sage
  • Dry Sherry
  • Eggs
  • Chicken Stock

Start by sautéing chestnuts in a small pan over medium heat in your olive oil and salt until they’re brown and toasty, pour over your chunks of bread. Add your Italian sausage to a pan with heated olive oil and cook until browned then add to your sourdough bread mixture.

Next sauté your chopped onions, celery, garlic, sage and chiles in a pan over medium, adding thin slices of apple. Once browned and soft, pour into your stuffing mixture. Deglaze your pan with some dry sherry to get all that tasty goodness off from the bottom and add to the mix. Add in some eggs for a custardy texture, combine and put into your most attractive baking dish.

Top off with little pieces of butter, cover with foil and bake at 350. Before it’s done, be sure to remove the foil and let the top get nice and crispy at 450 for the last part.

Enjoy the look on everyone’s face when they try your stuffing. Who made this again!?

We won’t tell ; )
