Sweet and Sticky Spare Rib Recipe

This recipe is perfect for early summer, when the brave are busting out their barbecues, some of us are just looking forward to the taste of smoky sticky food in the company of friends. These sweet and sticky spare ribs take almost no time to prepare once you throw together the glaze and pop them in the oven!

All you need is:

  • inch of ginger
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 serrano chili
  • 1/4 c. fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 2 pounds spare ribs

First you’ll need to make the sticky glaze, peel a piece of fresh ginger and press to release the flavor, add to a baking dish with three quarters of a cup of brown sugar.

Add a halved serrano chili, quarter cup of fish sauce, two tablespoons of soy sauce and a quarter cup of fresh lemon juice. Whisk ingredient together to form your glaze.

Then add two pounds of spare ribs that are chopped into pieces, turn to coat then cover with aluminum foil.

Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for one hour, then uncover and bake for another 45 minutes until fully glazed.
