Everyone is anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new little royal baby, who is due this spring, according to various sources. With the world awaiting, many questions arise as to how the royals will go about raising their child. Kate Middleton and hubby Prince William very understandably relied on a nanny to help with time management and childcare, especially when there were so many engagements and events they were required to attend.

However, Meghan and Harry are reportedly not going to hire a nanny, but instead rely on close family to help take care of the new child. The couple are doing renovations on their home, adding a larger wing for Meghan’s mother to stay in, as she will be the primary help for the child. And of course, this house is going to be tricked out with all the best gadgets and security.

“They are going all out with the refurbishment of the house, and as Harry loves his gadgets, it’s going to be very cool,” a source says. “They’ll be able to control everything from their smart phones.”

Of course, not everyone has the option of relying on family for childcare, nonetheless having family actually move in. But in an age where we assume all busy parents are hiring nannies and babysitters right off the bat, it’s nice to see that Meghan and Harry are keeping things close to the family.

As the big day gets closer, and the little one enters the world, we’ll see how the young new parents hold up!
