Creme Brûlée Cookies Taste So Much Like the Real Thing, It’s Scary!

INGREDIENTS

COOKIES
3/4 c. unsalted butter, softened
1/2 c. light brown sugar, lightly packed
1/2 c. sugar
1 large egg
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

FROSTING
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. sugar

Directions

In a bowl, mix butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.

With a hand mixer, beat well until the mixture is smooth.

Using a measuring spoon, scoop out tablespoon-sized amounts of dough and roll into balls.

Place the cookie dough balls on a parchment – covered baking sheet.

Bake at 350° for eight minutes. Next, to make the frosting, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.

Beat well with a hand mixer.

Spread the frosting over each cooled cookie. Dip each cookie into granulated sugar and heat them with a kitchen torch.
