Summertime means spending more time outdoors and entertaining outside for a fun time with the whole family. There are a couple of easy things to create a fun outdoor entertainment space.

Bring a piece of camp to your backyard with a fire pit that is great for making s’mores and campfire stories in the summer, also functioning as an outdoor space for colder weather. Campfires also have the added benefit of keeping the bugs away for all hours of the day.

Have an outdoor movie night with your own backyard movie theater with a projector screen and film projector for the whole family to enjoy. This is also a great option for a fun slumber party theme.

Umbrellas or sunshade tarp coverings to provide some extra shade in your backyard to keep everyone cool on a hot summer day. Having a covered area is also a great option for chairs and furniture for an outdoor sitting area.

Big potted plants can create an instant garden for any outdoor area that can also be featured indoors during the colder months. There are special plant pots to easily grow vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

Hanging a hammock in your backyard is easy between some sturdy trees or you can get a stand. A hammock provides a fun place to hang out for days and nights by the pool, most hammocks are easy to clean and replace.

Everyone loves to have some fun with the family playing backyard games that are also great for hosting parties. The best backyard games can be played with a small or larger group of people so no one misses out if you’re having a large group of people you can have several games set up. Some of the best backyard games include corn hole, bocci ball, ring toss, and croquet.
