Now, I am a major dessert person. I love cookies, brownies, cake, and the works. I also like to try new foods, and I feel as though the French might know their way around some amazingly delicious desserts. France is the land of carbs and cream and sugar, so it’s no doubt they would have some amazing desserts. So what are some delicious French desserts to try?

1. Macaron
Macarons are the famous French cookie. They are typically a meringue-based confection made with egg white, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond powder, and food coloring. Macaron’s have become a really great Baby or Bridal shower dessert. The way in which they are colored makes them as decorative as they are delicious.

2. Crêpes
Crêpes are very thin pastries. They can either be sweet or savory. They are typically filled with whipped or condensed creme, fruits, chocolates, powdered sugar. They’re a delicious, thin, decadent pancake. Crepes have gotten so creative and delicious. We have totally Americanized them, by filling them with things like Nutella. But hey, still delicious.

3. Crème Brûlée
Crème Brûlée literally means, burnt cream. It’s a custard based dessert with burnt caramelized sugar on top. It’s generally lightly dusted with powdered sugar, and often topped with a bit of fruit. The brûlée should come slightly warmed, and the top you should be able to crack with a spoon.
