From HBO To Rehab: Kit Harington Checks Himself Into Treatment

Before Kit Harington said goodbye to his role as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones is over, the actor moved on to something way more important and significant. Getting his health back in order inside of a treatment center.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Harington had secretly checked into a luxury rehab for stress and alcohol use ahead of the HBO series finale. Multiple sources told Page Six that the ending of the eight season show “really hit him hard.”
Harington checked into a Connecticut health retreat nearly a month ago and has been undergoing psychological coaching, practicing mindful meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy. These methods are used to combat stress and deal with negative emotions, costing the actor over $120,000 a month.
“He realized ‘this is it–this is the end,’ it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, what next,” a friend of the actor to Page Six. Sources went on to say that Harington is in the clinic mostly due to “stress and exhaustion and also alcohol.”

After news of his treatment, the actor’s representative released a statement saying, “Kit has decided to utilized the break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”
