HBO Pilot Brings “Euphoria” To Zendaya’s Career

Actress, singer, and all around beautiful human being Zendaya has just landed her newest gig for an HBO Pilot Series called Euphoria. The iconic star has been growing from her Disney Channel days in Shake It Up all the way to her latest and greatest trapeze performance in Michael Gracey’s The Greatest Showman.

In Euphoria, Zendaya will play a 17-year-old drug addict named Rue who serves as the main character and narrator for the series. The 21-year-old actress will be joined with fellow cast-mates such as Maude Apatow and Storm Reid.

We’re so excited for Zendaya to play a new character. As much as we loved her on Disney Channel, we always knew she was destined for something greater. Zendaya has always been a strong advocate for feminism and erasing stereotypes in Hollywood actresses.

No matter what the challenge, Zendaya will rise to the occasion, just like those trapeze ropes lifted her up in all of her stunts in The Greatest Showman.
