Make a list of their “YES” foods. Additionally, allow children to help with the planning. Whether it’s helping at the grocery store or choosing some of the things that will go into their lunch box, having a part in this process will help expand their palates.

Think of some of the things your child likes and how you can give them a “twist”. If your child likes grilled chicken, maybe they will like chicken salad.

If your child likes yogurt, but will only eat the sweetened kind, make a ½ and ½ mixture of sweetened and plain. Then grate some chocolate on top to make it extra special.

If your child likes potato chips, have them try roasted chickpeas instead. They are a crunchy and flavorful snack that is loaded with fiber and protein. Finally, have your child try new fruits, such as mango.
