Sources close to the couple have confirmed that Jennifer Lawrence, 28, is indeed engaged to New York art dealer Cooke Maroney. The couple has been dating roughly since last spring, and were introduced by their Lawrence’s pal Laura Simpson. The two lovebirds were just spotted at a romantic dinner in New York City, where Lawrence was wearing a noticeably flashy diamond ring.

“It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it. The ring was very noticeable. They were sitting back in a corner. She was wearing a cute black dress with white polka dots,” the source reported to Page Six. Shortly after, Lawrence’s rep confirmed the exciting news.

Lawrence has been known to keep her relationships extremely private. Previously she dated director Darren Aonofsky, musician Chris Martin and X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult. Maroney has also been quiet about his relationship with the mega star, and his career is slightly different from Lawrence’s other beaus. Maroney is the director of New York City’s Gladstone art gallery, and he regularly works with high profile clients and artists. The NYU art history major grew up in Vermont, but has called New York home for some time now.
