Cleaning the whole house yourself can be a lot of work for you, the solution is to work smarter and not harder. Here are a couple of tips on how to get the whole family involved in housework so you can get the cleaning done quicker while spending more time with the family.

If you’re a neat freak and criticize how others clean, this only frustrates and discourages people from wanting to contribute their help. You might have a certain way you like to clean that others might not do, this also gives you the chance to teach your kids how to clean. You can start one task, demonstrating how to do then ask if they can continue the job while you can assign another task or start working on another task.

Everyone in the family has different scheduling, making it a bit tricky to get everyone together for team cleaning and leaving some being “too busy.” Try to look over everyone’s schedules to see what time is the most convenient for everyone, this also sets up a system of days dedicated to cleaning so you can maintain a clean home.

Kids love incentives which can be a great way to reward your kids for their good deeds that can be something like taking them on a social outing or giving them an allowance that is also a great way to teach your kids about the value of money. The best part of getting everyone into cleaning is that they learn how to clean up messes and instills the mindset of keeping things clean.
