Following her music production comeback, Selena Gomez has announced her first live performance in over two years. Later in November, Gomez will perform her new music at the American Music Awards.

Her two new singles (unsure if more are to come before the performance) are largely about her break up and time apart from long-time boyfriend Justin Bieber. Bieber recently married supermodel Hailey Baldwin after dating almost immediately after Gomez’s breakup.

Following their growing relationship, Gomez remained relatively quiet—in terms of their progress and in the music world—and dove into working on the production of 13 Reasons Why and her Netflix documentary series Living Undocumented. Her break from the music world officially ended with her release of “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now.”

The songs stirred up some speculated drama between Hailey and Selena fans, though the two have remained as civil as they can. Gomez explains that the songs share her experience in the aftermath of heartbreak—something virtually everyone can relate to.

This relatability will be shared with a live TV audience as the singer takes the AMA stage for the fourth time. Her new music is the first solo-production from Gomez since 2015 and fans were absolutely elated to hear such honesty from her. Judging by how much the new songs have blown up, her AMA performances are highly anticipated.
