The Perfect Dirty Vodka Martini

Not to get all Sex in the City on you here, but there’s nothing we love more than a fabulous cocktail, and what mean more business than a dirty martini? Seriously, if you can master how to whip up the perfect one of these at home for a gentleman caller or group of your closest giggling gals, you’ve got some serious style.

All you need to keep stocked in your home bar is:

2 oz vodka
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1/2 oz. olive brine
3 olive

(This is so easy, we promise.)

First find a stylish mixing glass and long, delicately handled swizzle spoon and fill your missing glass with ice. Then begin your cocktail by measuring 2 ounces of vodka with your handy bar tool, or just eye ball it like we do using a shot glass, and add to your ice-filled mixing glass.

Next measure half an ounce of dry vermouth and half an ounce of olive brine and add to the mixing glass as well, again, if you don’t have a half ounce measurement tool, this would be 1 part vermouth and one part olive brine to pour parts vodka.

Finally stir together until well chilled, this is the impressive part so take 10 to 15 seconds on this part and use a julep strainer to strain the mixture into a martini glass.

Garnish with three olives by placing an a stylish toothpick and now you’re ready to serve in true bombshell style ; )
