3 Effective DIY Bug Sprays
To make an essential oil “cocktail”, mix 4 oz. boiling water, 3 oz. witch hazel, ½ tsp. of vegetable glycerin, and 30-50 drops of essential oils (rosemary and citronella work best).
To make a fresh herbs bug spray, mix 1 cup of boiled water, 1 cup of rubbing alcohol, 1 Tbsp. chopped mint leaves, and 3-4 Tbsp. other chopped herbs (lemongrass and catnip work well). Let it cool, then strain out the herbs. Store in the fridge.
To make super repellent, mix 32 oz. apple cider vinegar, 2 Tbsp. chopped sage, rosemary, thyme, lavender, and mint. Shake well.
