Happy Birthday SZA!

Bella Breakdown

On November 8th, 1990 Solana Rowe was born into the world. You might better know her as R&B artist SZA, the influential singer who has absolutely blown up the music spot in just the last five years. SZA’s album ‘Ctrl’ debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. If you haven’t heard it, you’d do well to download it right now. SZA was born in St. Louis, but mostly raised in New Jersey. She went to a Muslim preparatory school, and was actually raised Orthodox Muslim.

SZA is not only an amazing songstress, but so much of her music was derived from her own experiences, and she herself is a bonafide songwriter. At only 28, SZA has managed to write heartfelt and painstaking songs that seem to sing to the souls of an entire generation. SZA has been at major music festivals such as Coachella and Tropicalia. She has worked with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Lorde, Post Malone & Khalid.

So on such a magical day as November 8th, I implore you to celebrate SZA and Scorpio season, and listen to some songs like ’20-something’, or ‘Broken Clocks’. You might shed a slight tear as she sings straight into your soul, but hey it’s her birthday and we need to celebrate this amazing artist!
