How to Make Super-Easy Candy and Caramel Apples

Fall is here! Along with it comes all the tasty autumnal treats we’ve been waiting all summer to enjoy. How can anything be better than a freshly made candy or caramel coated apple?
Dipped in nuts, sprinkles, cereal there’s so many delicious combinations you just won’t know which one to eat first! Start by inserting popsicle sticks into raw apples then cook up your coatings.
To make a candy coating heat the following ingredients on medium until 290 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- ½ c. light corn syrup
- ¼ c. Red Hots candy
- ½ tsp. red food coloring
For a caramel coating just combine on low heat, stirring, until completely melted.
- 14 oz package chewy caramels
- 2 tbsp. water
Roll in your favorite toppings and enjoy! Eat them all yourself or share with friends, we won’t tell ; )
