5 Life Changing Tips to Keep Skin Hydrated
Bella Breakdown
Carly Cardellino shares some tips for keeping your skin hydrated. Many people have skin that becomes dry and flaky in the summer from the sun, chlorine, or salt.
Exfoliation
One way to deal with this issue is to exfoliate, but only enough to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells that are ready to slough off without removing the healthy skin cells.
Try a DIY option
If you don’t have any exfoliator handy, mixing your favorite body wash with some brown sugar is a home remedy you can try. You can also add coconut oil, honey, and aloe to help soothe your skin while you exfoliate.
Moisturization
Moisturizing is very important as well because when your skin is healthy, it is an effective barrier to keep outside elements from getting into your body. The best time to apply moisturizer is right after you get out of the bath or shower and your skin is still damp. Using a product that both firms skin and moisturizes is a bonus!
Nutrition
Your skin is a powerful reflection of your overall health and well-being. What you put in your body affects your skin. Eating foods that are high in water content and fiber is a great way to stay hydrated also.
Don’t Forget the Lips!
Protecting your lips is something you shouldn’t forget. Be sure to use a moisturizing lip balm with SPF in it.
