Amy Schumer Returns From Hospitalization

Now, I don’t know about you, but I was pretty excited when I heard that comedian and actress, Amy Schumer was expecting a little bundle of joy with husband, Chris Fischer. It is a super exciting time for the couple. However, Amy had to be hospitalized late last week due to Hyperemesis Gravidarum. This is the same issue Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton suffered with, as well as Kim Kardashian.

Pregnant women who suffer from HG essentially experience severe morning sickness that lasts almost the entire pregnancy. A lot of women who suffer from it have to be hospitalized because the severe vomiting leads to dehydration. Women can feel faint and dizzy, which is extremely dangerous while you’re pregnant.

As you may already know you are supposed to be gaining major nutrients as your body is now eating for two, however with HG you often aren’t able to keep those nutrients down long enough to actually help. Nor do you actually even want to eat that much.

Amy was released from the hospital, and back on stage this weekend in New Jersey. It’s never fun to be so sick you can hardly stand, but we are definitely glad that Amy and baby are doing a-okay. I wonder how funny that baby is going to be when it’s born, seeing that it’s touring stages along with the non-stop comedian?
