How to Mix The Perfect Classic Greek Salad

In the post-new years resolution, healthy eating mania, salads are everything. While we love all the new health crazes out there, nothing really beats a classic greek salad. They’ve stood the test of time for good reason, they’re delicious!

We love all the different textures in this salad, that’s why we tear some ingredients and slice others, plus it’s always fun to cook with your hands. Start by washing your vegetables and tearing however much romaine lettuce you’d like into medium size pieces.

Slice a handful of cherry tomatoes in halves and crumble a good block of feta into small pieces and slice half of a red onion into thin crescents. Peal one english cucumber, cut in half lengthwise then chop into rough semi-circles.

For the dressing mince one clove of garlic and place in any jar that has a tightly fitting lid. Add a tablespoon of olive oil, a tablespoon of red wine vinegar, and about a teaspoon of dried oregano.

Season with a pinch of salt and pepper and emulsify by shaking vigorously. Give your salad a good toss and enjoy!
