Secrets To Keep From Your Partner

Bella Breakdown

Honesty is generally the best policy, especially in a relationship. It is important to have open lines of communication with your partner. But is it okay to keep certain bits of information from them? Well, the answer is yes.

There are definitely some secrets that you are allowed to keep from your partner. These particular secrets really ensure that you aren’t hurting your partner over something that really doesn’t need to be brought up.

1. Don’t tell your partner if your family doesn’t like them. Your family is not the one dating your partner, you are. As long as everyone remains civil, it’s okay to keep that as your own little secret. The same goes if you don’t like their family.

2. Don’t let them know that you’re attracted to one of their friends. Sure, sometimes couples are open about whether or not they find strangers or celebrities hot, but a friend is a different story.

3. Keep your partner out of your ex files. We all stalk our ex on social media every now and again, and even though you know you don’t have feelings for your ex anymore, your partner might not be as enlightened as you are. You just want to know if they’re getting fatter! But it’s best if that’s your own secret.
