It’s time. That old plastic bulletin board you’ve had since college has got to go, and that means it’s time to get crafty!

You can make your own magnetic chalkboard with a few inexpensive items from the craft board all in an afternoon!

The secret ingredient for this adorable organizer is clear chalkboard paint. You could also use chalkboard paint in any of the cute colors they out now too.

For the magnetic part of the equation just pick up an inexpensive piece of sheet metal which comes in 24”x36” pieces, conveniently that same size as a standard poster frame.

To start, just roll on a coat of chalkboard paint with a foam roller for an even layer, let it dry completely. Go back and do two more coats then you’re surface will be ready for some serious chalk doodling action.

You can get any kind of poster frame you like at any craft store and while you’re there, pick up a bottle of craft paint. With an easy sponge roller applicator tip give your poster frame a few coats and let it dry.

To finish, just slide in the sheet metal as if it’s the glass in the frame, hang and enjoy your new grownup organization miracle!
