Spring has sprung, and it’s time to whip out that cute little flowery dress. Some fashion trends this spring are on par with normal weather warming times, and some are new and bold!
Of course, lightweight, colorful pieces are in. It’s time to put away those weary winter blacks and add a splash of color to your weekly wears. At the same time, choosing lightweight fabrics that are easy and breathable are perfect as the temperatures start to warm up.
Cheetah-petal print is all the rage, and makes for a fun pattern that can easily transcend your work to night-out transition. This print is not quite cheetah, and not distinctly flowers, but rather a blend of both. Choose bright colors that contrast each other, and get ready to stand out in a crowd.
On the other end of the spectrum are 1950’s inspired dresses. These comfy, breathable pieces are cotton, asymmetrical, and fall at mid-calf. Many of the dresses take the classic look and modernize it with a fitted bodice and flowy skirt.
Interestingly, fashion designers have been pairing these pops of color with gray accents, which isn’t stereotypical for spring. However, gray accessories add a nice counterbalance to bright florals.
