For a fun romantic style, try this playful look with soft bohemian waves in the front and a heart-shaped braid work-of-art in the back.

This quick and easy half-updo couldn’t be more simple, or more perfect for the Valentines Day season!

Just start with some texture spray and find your sections for the two braids, leaving soft pieces out around the face and begin your traditional three-part braids. The main trick is starting with the outside piece.

Traditional braid all the way through, securing the ends with elastic rubber bands and add a little expanding dust to texture the hair and help keep pins from slipping.

Take the first braid, and wrap around. Going from the inside out like you’re drawing a heart and pin into place. Repeat with the other side, placing bobby pins on the outside of the braid to secure its weight and help flatten out the shape.

Once you twist the ends together, just pin through and add some beach day texture spray or use a curling iron for those flowing bohemian waves. Just don’t be surprised if you here oh-la-la’s on every exit.
