The moon is blooming! Unfortunately, that does not mean you will be seeing flowers on the moon. The flower moon is the first and only full moon within the month of May. It is referred to as the flower moon because it is the month in which many flowers begin to bloom. It is reported that the moon will reach the fullest phase on May 29th and the best time to see it will be at 8:22 pm eastern time.
It has also been called the milk moon because cows can start to enjoy sprouting weeds and grasses in pastures which leads to rich milk!
If you happen to miss the flower moon tonight or the clouds are blocking your view, you will have to wait a whole year to see the next one.
