What Eyeliner Look is Dethroning the Cat Eye?

The cat eye has been dethroned. Don’t get us wrong, there’s not a force on earth that’s going to stop us from winging black kohl on our eyelids every morning, but there’s a new fresh eyeliner style coming straight off the catwalks, and we want you to master it.

For this look, start with your favorite black pencil, we love the MAC Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline. Carefully apply halfway along the lower lash line and create a flick going up and out towards the sides. Next, use an angled brush to blend onto the upper lash line starting from the corners and working your way towards the middle of the lid.

Add a few coats of L’oreal Paris’s Volume Million Lashes in So Couture Black, or your favorite jet black volumizing mascara to the bottom and top lashes. A neutral shimmery lipstick like MAC’s Lipstick in Blankety makes for a great understated lip. Finally take a gloss like MAC’s Glass Creme Brilliance and add a thin layer to the eyelids, cheeks and temples. You’re looking slightly bored and beautiful already.
