New research shows that what you eat is written all over your face. In a recent study, scientists surveyed 2,800 men and women about their eating habits. They then looked at their faces under a 3D scan to measure the amount of wrinkles. The study found that women who ate a diet of predominantly fruits, vegetables and fish, had considerably less wrinkles than women who consumed sugar, meat and alcohol. It seems alcohol has such a dehydrating effect on the skin, that women who ate a healthy Mediterranean diet and only drank one glass of wine a week, had more wrinkles than women who didn’t drink at all. Naturally, the research findings differed for men.
