How do we pull off the same styles that we see celebrities wearing? Emily Sher says it is 90% confidence and 10% know-how.
A Bit of Blue
The first trend she tells about is wearing blue make-up. She says the trick is to wear just a little bit, such as a metallic blue mascara or blue eyeliner. You can maximize the look with a blue nail polish.
Wide-Legged & Lovin’ It
The next trend is wide-legged pants. Sher tells how the long lines of the pants make even a petite person, such as Nicole Richie look slim. The pants should be high-waisted and should skim all the way to the floor. Wearing heels with them further accentuates the long, slimming look of the pants.
Little Bow Peep
Some might see wearing bows as too 1970’s, but Sher says pairing a blouse with a bow on it with a trendy skirt perfects this look.
Indulge in Denim
The final trend is wearing denim on denim. Sher says this trend is like wearing black, but better. Be sure to wear two different washes of denim, and to pair it with a pop of color or pattern, such as leopard ballet flats.
